Singer-songwriter Jeremy Wilson Portland, OR

The new album:
Empty Through Empty Space

"The acoustic-driven album finds him stretching into the Americana twang and slapback vocals of "Mary" and the rush of horns that drives "Let a Poor Man Beg," though songs such as "Rushing Out" and "The Whisper" settle into a comfortable exploration of the '90s rock era's softer side. It even features a sort of Dharma Bums reunion, with the original quartet all playing on the heavy "I Can't Bury You." - David Greenwald, Oregonlive

Peter Case, Jeremy Wilson & Paul Brainard, Buzz Holland

Dante's, 350 West Burnside Street , Portland, OR 97209

Jeremy & Paul Brainard will be playing duo opening middle slot for Peter Case!!

Peter Case, founding member of the Nerves and leader of the Plimsouls, and the first troubadour of the post-punk era, returns with his first album of new songs since 2010's Wig! The Nerves' 1976 "Hanging on the Telephone" EP, its title song covered by Blondie, remains a classic and has earned the band a strong following of young fans around the world. The Plimsouls song "A Million Miles Away" is a power pop classic. Case's debut solo album, produced by T-Bone Burnett, earned him his first Grammy nomination and spearheaded a songwriter movement, now dubbed Americana. Twelve solo albums and two more Grammy nominations followed, including one for his 2007 album Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John.

All along, Case has continued to tour consistently. HWY 62 collects tales from his journey, and brilliantly encompasses every facet of his diverse and critically acclaimed career. Much like a travelogue, HWY 62 includes pieces of Americana, blues, pop, and folk -- all anchored by Case's knack for creating the perfect hook.

Jeremy Wilson

Former Dharma Bums/Pilot frontman Jeremy Wilson (vocals, guitar) and his two core band members - Dylan-Thomas Vance (lap slide guitar, backing vocals) and Matthew Rotchford (upright and electric bass, backing vocals) - deliver Empty Through Empty Space, a collection of twelve songs that find the three realizing fresh new sounding music that some might put in a category with Jeff Buckley, Leonard Cohen, Cat Stevens, Rodriguez and Harry Nilsson, while still honoring the energetic abandon associated with his past bands Dharma Bums and Pilot. It is also a concept record based on a 3600 mile road trip Wilson took, after heartbreak, from Florida back to Portland, Oregon, that also reveals an internal journey on the path back home.

Featuring guest appearances by The Decemberists' (and former Dharma Bum) John Moen on drums and Jenny Conlee-Drizos on Hammond organ as well as Ezra Holbrook on drums and percussion, Luke Strahota on drums, recording engineer and producer Sean Flora on guitar and backing vocals, Paul Brainard on trumpet, Matt Brown on euphonium, and several other friends to help flesh out the album, Wilson pulled out all the stops to help bring the record to fruition. The album even features all four Dharma Bums members - Wilson (guitar, vocals), Jim Talstra (bass), John Moen (drums), and Eric Lovre (electric guitar) - on the track "I Can't Bury You."

Empty Through Empty Space is Jeremy Wilson's first full studio solo album.
